Our range of polycarbonate verandas are perfect for domestic and commercial applications. We have the standard wall mounted veranda roof systems in our online shop, but then also offer a wide range of much larger and self supporting polycarbonate roof systems for commercial use.

Polycarbonate can be a very tough material indeed and is far lighter than glass, so can be fitted in larger panels and is much easier to handle, manage and replace if necessary.
It is a lot lower cost than many other roof cover materials and can be manufactured in double, triple and even quadruple cell wall specifications. The polycarbonate can also be supplied either clear, opaque or in tinted shades, especially useful for South facing verandas.

Our polycarbonate veranda systems are all manufactured from high quality aluminium profiles and many systems are readily available from stock in the UK for the fastest delivery. Many profiles can be cut on site to suit site conditions and variations in levels and there are various ways to fit the front support posts to the ground to also suit and make life easier.

The polycarbonate veranda is perfect for DIY installation, but we do offer an installation service if required. The lightweight profiles and very light polycarbonate sections are all easily managed and the ability to cut almost all components enables any unlevel ground and unlevel walls to be dealt with easily. A solid foundation is essential for your veranda to remain solid, safe and stable and if you choose to use the individual concrete pad support method instead, these also need to be sufficient size for the type of soil and surrounding substrate. We can supply precast concrete pads for the various verandas if required or you can create your own in situ with pre mixed concrete of appropriate type and volume. A complete concrete base, usually raised from the garden or patio, is what a lot of customers prefer and this gives you the ability to further finish with tiling, decking and other floor options. once the veranda is fitted to the concrete base.

Polycarbonate Options

Polycarbonate is a very sturdy, but also flexible material, making it perfect for roofing and particularly when level discrepancies and out of square frameworking might occur for whatever reason. Flexible, bendable, lightweight and easy to clean and of course far less costly than glass. There are various options for the polycarbonate roofing in our verandas, these are briefly explained below. Most systems will utilise 16mm polycarbonate, but sometimes there are other options to choose from.

Opaque polycarbonate:

One of the more popular with your customers, opaque polycarbonate roofing is semi-transparent. The sections have a milky white colour finish. With opaque roofing, the light is not really lessened but it is diffused which can help with the midday sun and glare underneath the veranda.  Good option for South facing systems.

Clear polycarbonate:

Clear polycarbonate roofing is transparent and also very popular. It is perfect if you want a lot of light to get through. Clear polycarbonate does generally look more luxurious than opaque sheets. A downside is that clear polycarbonate sheets are not very heat resistant. And have a tendency to fog from the inside in large temperature changes.

Ultra clear polycarbonate:

Ultra clear carbonate has the same characteristics as clear polycarbonate, however, the ultra clear sheets have a more open texture with wider 'channels'. Because of this, ultra clear offers even more transparency and an even higher light permeability. This type of polycarbonate looks the most like glass. One negative maybe however is that everything on the roof, like fallen leaves and any dirt are very visible.

Solar control polycarbonate:

Solar control sheets are opaque sheets as well,but they have a double extruded layer which protects from infrared solar waves. They provide the right combination between light diffusion and the ideal temperature. This right combination keeps light transmission as high as possible while blocking infrared waves from the visible light to get a low solar transmission. The result is having a solar protection factor as high as possible and the temperature underneath is lower
