Ferrari 502 Satin PVC is durable and long lasting. It is easy to clean and carries a 10 year limited warranty to ensure years of service. Ferrari STAM 6002 provides a textured matt finish to look more like traditional parasol fabric. It carries a 5 year limited warranty. The canopies on any Vortex can be changed at anytie on the future if you wish to change colours, logos or have sustained any damage which isnt repairable.

Choice of Bases for Installation

In Ground Base:
These are suitable for permanent fixing of the Vortex Umbrellas and provides the best stability for the product with 3 different size options depending how solid or loose your ground and soil conditions are.
The standard in ground base is 500mm length with a reinforced version at 700mm long and a 1200mm long version for the loosest of ground, i.e. sandy soil, etc. The concrete required for each option is shown in the installation PDF document in our downloads section above. We include a cover plate for any in ground base to protect the tube when the umbrella is removed and to not leave a hole and trip hazard
Electrical cables should be run through the ground, throughout the ground base, completely hiding them.

Freestanding Base:
A freestanding square steel base with 36 slabs totallling 975kg, to provide the stability required for any of the umbrella sizes. Slabs are 400mm x 400mm x 65mm. The freestanding base is 810mm x 810mm x 595mm high when completed and has options for a stainless steel cover or marine grade FR cushion cover for providing seating.

Flat Steel Decking Mount:
The flat steel plate is to be bolted to an existing solid surface. 800mm x 800mm a 10mm thick with base tube built in.
This provides a permanent fix in situations where it is not possible to install a ground base.

Bespoke Solutions:
We can also provide bespoke solutions where none of the above are suitable for the site conditions. Please call or email to discuss.

Umbrella Frame
The Vortex frame is manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel. The pole diameter is 76mm with a 3m wall thickness. Main ribs are 42mm with a 1.6mm wall thickness and supporting ribs are 38mm with a 1.5mm wall thickness.

Accessories

The Fast Bar:  A self supporting umbrella table, for mounting round an umbrella pole. The Vortex Umbrella Fast Bar table is 600mm in diameter.

• Resistant to scratches, abrasions heat and the weather. Hygienic and easy to clean.
• Easy to fit at any height with just two simple connections.
• Durable enough to be left out all year round, strong enough to withstand every day use. Or can be easily removed and stored.

Lighting: Mast Mounted 4 x 50W Spot Light (1 x 2.0m cable included and fitted). Other light options available - see brochure for latest details
Heating: Solamagic Heater 1.5kW Electric Heater, Hirschmann Plug, cable and velcro bracket. other lighting options are always available, please emial or call for details.
Remote Control: 5-channel hand held remote control or Remote Receiver 0.5kW, operates lights only.

Currently, we do not offer nationwide installation services.

The Vortex does require a serious base in order to perform as tested. The stand alone above ground bases are over 900Kg and for the in ground base options you will be looking at some failry serious concrete in order to comply with the loadings of the parasol. Lighting, heating and other options require electrical professionals for the cabling into the in ground support options.

Frame Warranty

Vortex High Tension umbrellas are guaranteed, from original date of purchase by the initial buyer, for a period of up to 5 years* against defects in metal fixtures resulting from faulty workmanship and faulty materials. Although we strive to provide the highest quality, we accept no responsibility for print degradation.

The manufacturer will not be liable for any extra costs incurred by the buyer as a result of defects found in the product or as a result of faulty product, over and above those covered in the guarantee contained in the paragraph above.

* 5 year warranty requires product registration with the manufacturer.

Canopy Warranty

Fabric warranty is provided by the manufacturer of the material used in the canopy. This can vary with the choice of material. Please refer to the table for a summary, or the following section for detailed information on the fabric warranty for the standard fabrics.

Please note tensile fabrics will only be covered under warranty when tensioned, in this case when the parasol is fully open.

Modifications

Please note that due to the nature of the parasol, ANY modification of the parasol will invalidate the warranty. Not limited to, but including:

Do not shorten the pole
Do not shorten the bottom of the pole below the flange at the bottom of the pole.
Do not shorten the in-ground base
Do not drill additional holes in the pole
Do not widen any of the holes provided in the pole for power cables.
Modification made by the factory, prior to delivery will be covered by standard warranty terms, except for wind loading guarantees. No wind loading guarantee is provided for any modified product, whether factory modified or not.

All heating and lighting systems warranties are supplied by the manufacturer of the relevant components. Please refer to specific manufacturers and models
